Teacher Education Field Experiences/Licensure Program

Intended Learning Outcomes

Teacher candidates will demonstrate:

  1. understanding of how their students differ culturally and in their approaches to learning by creating instructional opportunities that are adapted to students with diverse backgrounds and exceptionalities. (Diversity)
  2. that they are reflective practitioners who continually evaluate the effects of choices and actions on others (students, parents, and other professionals in the learning community), adapt their practice accordingly, and actively seek out opportunities for professional growth.   3. the ability to plan and facilitate instruction based on knowledge of subject matter (including the central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structures of their disciplines), students, learning theory, the community, and curriculum goals.   4. the ability to assess student learning both formatively and summatively, using a variety of strategies. (Assessing instruction for student learning)
  5. essential professional qualities, including self-awareness, reliability, flexibility, integrity, and commitment. (Professional dispositions)
