Student reviews of teaching for a first comprehensive review
In the first comprehensive reappointment review (typically completed in the spring semester of the second year of teaching), the department administers a student review questionnaire to a sample of students selected by IE&A in consultation with the department chair.
Student reviews of teaching for a second comprehensive review
In the second comprehensive reappointment review (typically completed in the spring semester of the fourth year of teaching), IE&A administers the student review questionnaire as well as selecting the sample in consultation with the department chair.
Peer reviews of teaching
Comprehensive reappointment reviews include two peer reviews of teaching, one prepared by the department chair and the other prepared by a tenured member of the faculty member’s department or Faculty.
