Ensure tHE effective AND EQUITABLE functioning of the Council
- Providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities for Council members.
- Regularly refining the Council’s procedures and practices to align with principles of accessibility and restorative justice.
- Collecting feedback from parties involved in Council cases to assess our operations.
Drive a campus culture shift of the Honor System
- Leading “Intro to Honor System” sessions during First-Year Student Orientations.
- Establishing a student/faculty newsletter to improve communication of the Honor System.
- Engaging with faculty by initiating dialogue with Academic Leadership on academic integrity.
- Publishing case statistics through the Mess to enhance transparency of the Honor System.
- Monitoring and expanding the Honor Code Guides program to further support implicated students.
Strive for a Council that represents the diversity of the student body
- Creating, enhancing, and evaluating various elections marketing strategies to encourage full participation.
- Developing a clear Honor Council member position description to attract a wide range of candidates.
