The following rooms can be reserved by submitting a DiSCO Reservation Request.
Mix 1 (Studio and Data Space) – RML 494
This room provides equipment for gaming, data processing, and content creation. The computer in the space has a higher processor for big data projects and the use of GIS software, as well as common software clients for gaming. Adobe Create Cloud, OBS, and Audacity are also available for creating and editing media content. For additional information, visit the quick guide for the space.
Mix 2 (Audio Recording Room) – RML 495
The Audio room has an iMac with dual boot and supports the recording of presentations, interviews, podcasts and screen-captures. Specialized software includes: Audacity, Adobe Audition, and Logic Pro. Email disco@stolaf.edu, or speak with a staff member to reserve the studio.
The Set (Large Podcast/Video Studio) – RML 493
A multifunctional production room equipped with a group podcast set up and a video camera with teleprompter for presentation production.
The Classroom – RML 492
The Classroom is an active learning style space primarily used by LITS staff available for reservation by IT and Library staff to support teaching and learning across all academic divisions and curricula. Faculty and staff interested in using this room for a session, course, or event, should contact the DiSCO with their needs or work directly with an instructional technologist or liaison librarian. Students may use this room whenever it is available, and may also request a reservation for student organization activities. Priority for the space is given to class instruction sessions.
The Cave
The Cave is presentation and video conference-ready, with a large display, camera, microphone and speaker, along with Clickshare to wirelessly connect your laptop. Faculty and staff interested in using this room for a session, course, or event, should submit a reservation request or work directly with an instructional technologist or their liaison librarian. Students may use this room whenever it is available, and may also request a reservation for student organization activities. Priority for the space is given to LITS staff-led class instruction sessions.
