Early Drop Off

The Early Drop Off Program allows First Year students to drop off their belongings into their residence hall room before Move In Weekend.

Students interested in this opportunity, please read over the information below.

Students interested in the Early Drop Off program should sign up using the Fall 2024 Early Drop Off Application on your Housing Portal.

This is an opportunity for students who are not a part of an Early Arrival program but will be arriving to Northfield the night before Move In Weekend.

Students should follow the steps below to apply for Early Drop Off

Students will sign up for a Drop Off Timeslot between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm.

Students approved for Early Drop Off will arrive at their Residence Hall at their approved time. Residence Life Staff will unlock the room door to allow you to place your belongings in your room. Once you are done, Staff will re-lock your door.

This is not an opportunity for you to set up your room. You will be able to set up your room when you Check In during Move In Weekend.

Move in weekend starts august 31

Students and Families who participate in Early Drop Off should proceed directly to the Skogland Parking Lot during Move In Weekend to park their vehicle(s).

Students will check in with Residence Life Staff when they arrive to their Residence Hall to get their room key and any other check in materials.

Please follow these steps to apply for Early Drop Off:

Log into your Housing Portal
Select “Applications” from the left-hand menu options
Select “Fall 2024 Early Drop Off” to complete the application
Select your appointment time.
