David: Hi, I’m David! I am a senior majoring in Vocal Music Education, and I’m hoping to teach high school choir or elementary general music after I graduate. The past two years, I have been an RA in Ellingson and Hoyme Halls. This year, I’m so excited to serve as the SHC of Kildahl Hall alongside a fantastic RA team! I am really looking forward to meeting all of you, and I know we will all have a blast getting to know each other and building a great community. Pro tip to everyone: bring a camping hammock and/or a picnic blanket! There are tons of great hammocking trees and places to spend time outside on campus — take advantage of them! They are fantastic resources and are one of my favorite parts of living at St. Olaf.
Kristha: Holaa! I’m Kristha from Guatemala, and I’m the RA for the third floor of Kildhal. I’m a sophomore majoring in Psychology and SoAn. I’m passionate about the idea that each individual is shaped by their personal context, their culture, upbringing, and life experiences. Making them a world of their own. But no matter how different our worlds may seem, there are always key elements that connect us. As an RA, I want to build on those connections, not just as Oles or Kildhal residents, but as human beings. The Hill is a special place that has given me opportunities to deepen my understanding of life. What I love most about the Hill is how its nature, historic buildings, and the people who call it home create a beautiful space to grow, to shape ourselves, and to choose how intentionally we live each day.
Jackson: Hello! My name is Jackson and I’m from Minneapolis, MN. I’m looking forward to hosting fun hall events where we can all get to know each other. One of my favorite things about living on the hill is playing intramural sports with my friends.
Mia: Hi! I am Mia Santiago. I am a sophomore Math Major with an Engineering Concentration! I am from San Francisco, CA, and part of the Posse Foundation Program here on The Hill. This year, for residence life, I am looking forward to being a place of relief for my residents. I hope to be so prepared that I have all the answers, all the resources, and anything else they need from me as their RA. My absolute favorite thing that I love about living on The Hill is how often I get to see my friends. Since the school is smaller, it is super tight-knit, and I run into familiar faces all day. This makes it easier to maintain friendships, make friends, and just see your whole community.
Maria: Hi! I’m Maria, and I’m a second year student. This year, I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone in Kildahl, learning about your interests, and planning fun events where we can all meet new people and build connections within our growing community. One thing I absolutely love about living on The Hill is how vibrant everything becomes in the spring.
