Kaitlyn: Hello, Oles, and welcome to St. Olaf! I’m thrilled to welcome you to your next four years on The Hill. As an out-of-state student myself, I’ve found an incredible sense of community here at Olaf and am excited for you to make your own. I’m truly grateful for the connections I’ve made and for the exciting domestic and international experiences I have had. This past summer, I had the opportunity to work as a Residential Activities Director at Northwestern, and I’m beyond excited to bring that energy and creativity into planning meaningful events for you. I’m ecstatic to return as an SHC this year and to be part of your first-year journey. If you can’t find me in the hall, I’m most likely practicing my instrument, taking a swim, or out on a run. Get ready, this year is going to be amazing, and I can’t wait to see everything you’ll accomplish!
Christyl: Hello everyone! My name is Christyl Tango-an (she/her) and I’m a junior from the Philippines majoring in environmental studies and studio art 🙂 I’ll be the Identity Assistant (IA) for Thorson Hall this year and I’m excited to meet all of you! This will be my second year as an IA and one thing I’m excited about is the awesome events that we’ll help plan for the first year corridor. Another thing I love about living on the hill is the fact that it’s so easy to run into your friends in a random hallway because of how small our campus size is. I hope to see you around!
Adrian: My name is Adrian Nkhoma, and I’m looking forward to creating a space that truly feels like a home away from home for students this year. What excites me most about working in Residence Life is being able to support students through all the ups and downs of college while helping them feel connected and cared for. One of the things I love most about living on The Hill is how much support there is for literally everything. From the staff who helped me get from the airport to campus my very first time here, to tutors, faculty, and peers who are always willing to step in with academic or personal support—there’s always someone ready to help. That sense of community is what makes this place so special, and I can’t wait to contribute to it as an RA.
Anna: Hey, My name is Anna! I’m a sophomore here at St. Olaf and an RA for Thorson Hall. I’m most excited to find fun ways for the floor and hall to bond and get to know one another. My favorite part about living on The Hill is how connected you can get with the other people on your floor!
Puri: My name is Puri Goyo, and I’m excited to be part of residence life this year. I’m looking forward to connecting with students, helping create a welcoming community, and learning from the team while contributing to a positive living environment. One thing I love about living on The Hill is the sense of community, it’s a place where people genuinely support and encourage one another. I don’t know how things will turn out but I trust the process.
