Student Affairs Committee
The Student Affairs Committee advocates student life and well-being concerns to relevant campus offices. We provide updates on student life to the College’s Board of Regents and liaise with the President’s Leadership Team, Residence Life, Bon Appétit, Public Safety, and other campus offices to communicate student concerns. Additionally, we sponsor initiatives related to student life and well-being.

What does the Student Affairs Committee do?
Perceptions of Success and Failure
The Student Affairs Committee is working on exploring students’ perceptions of success and failure for presentation at the May 2025 Board of Regents Meeting. Our goal is to understand how students on campus define success, experience failure, how perceptions of success are influenced by the college, and how the college can support students as they navigate their goals. We plan to take a mixed methods approach through student interviews and a short survey to gain an understanding of how students talk about these topics.
