Changing a Profile Picture

As part of the site redesign, we consolidated all of the “directory information” into the online directory, and we started powering all of the lists of people with data from the directory. By doing this, we have a single source-of-truth for titles, phone numbers, sabbatical/leave status, and more.

The “Contact & Photo” page has replaced the contact information part of the old WordPress “People plugin”.

For faculty and staff:

If you would like to edit your profile photo, all you need to do is:

  1. Log in to
  2. Choose “Directory Photo” from the sidebar navigation
  3. Upload a new photo
  4. Press “SUBMIT”
  5. Your photo will show up across the website within an hour

If you are in charge of editing a department’s listings, you can edit the photo / contact information for anyone in your departments:

  1. Log in to
  2. Choose “Department Information” from the sidebar navigation
  3. Choose the department which you wish to edit
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page; you will see a list of the people within the department
  5. Choose “Contact & Photo” to edit someone’s contact information or photo, or “Professional Page” to edit someone’s profile
  6. Once you are done editing, press “SUBMIT”
  7. The updated information will be reflected across the website within an hour

For students:

Students cannot change their directory photos. You can choose to show or hide your photo within the privacy settings page.
