Using TimelyCare While Abroad/Away

What is TimelyCare?

TimelyCare is a telehealth program offered by St. Olaf that provides medical and mental telehealth care.

What services does TimelyCare offer?

• On-demand and scheduled medical care
• TalkNow – 24/7 access to emotional health support
• Scheduled Counseling
• Health Coaching
• Psychiatric Care (requires referral from the Counseling Center)

Are these services available off-campus?

• If you are in the United States: Yes, the full range of TimelyCare services are available.
• If you are studying outside of the United States: Unfortunately, at this time many of the TimelyCare services can only be utilized in the United States. However, students studying outside of the U.S. can utilize the TalkNow feature. In order to do so, you will need to have the St. Olaf VPN downloaded on your device (directions below) along with the TimelyCare app.

How do I access TimelyCare services?

1. Download the TimelyCare app. We recommend doing this before leaving the United States of America

2. Set up the app.
   1. Make sure to register using your St. Olaf email address.
   2. Enter your information in the fields provided.
3. Once you have made an account, you are ready to access care.
   1. Tap on “Start a new visit.”
   2. Then, choose location and visit type.
   3. You will be asked to answer a few questions, and will then be added to a virtual waiting room until a provider is ready for you.

Other Important Information About Using TimelyCare

COST

• These services are FREE to all current St. Olaf students.
• TimelyCare does not bill insurance for any of the services provided.

LIMITS OF USE

• TalkNow = Unlimited use
• Medical Visits = Unlimited use
• Scheduled Counseling = Limited to 12 free sessions. After your 12th visit, sessions cost $79 per session.
