The Connect For Success Program is a program dedicated to connecting students and mentors on the Hill.

Overview

Peer mentorship makes a difference in helping students navigate their first year of college. Regardless of background students report that having a mentor helps them develop a sense of belonging and feel more connected. Navigating community life can bring its own twists and turns. The goal of CFSS is to walk alongside students as they navigate their first year at St. Olaf College and help them accomplish their goals.

Peer mentoring and SMART goal setting
Purposeful activities that support your curricular and co-curricular goals
Service learning activities and self-reflection tool
Monthly community events and activities
Financial literacy and smart savings seminars

The Connect for Success peer mentors work closely with every year’s cohort to build community, provide resources, opportunities, and guide you as you navigate the College with clear, actionable, and trackable goals.

In collaboration with campus partners, you will have the opportunity to participate in events to meet other first year students, connect with faculty, staff, and alumni by participating in programs and networking spaces.

Meaningful workshops on setting your future goals for career and experiential learning to maximize your future you! This includes creating a resume and how to maximize your first year at St. Olaf.
