Set in England 1950, the Clandon children, having recently arrived in England from an eighteen-year stay in America, are on a quest to find their father. One problem: they have no idea who he is or what he looks like. Meanwhile, Valentine, a local dentist, falls madly in love with Gloria, the eldest Clandon daughter. However, Gloria, who considers herself to be a unwavering feminist, claims to have no interest in love or marriage. Through a comedy of errors and confused identities, this vacillating rom-com is G.B. Shaw’s response to the farcical comedy genre… but with a witty and conscientious flair that only Shaw could do.

Jesus Christ Superstar is a 1970 rock opera. The story is loosely based on the Gospels’ accounts of the last week of Jesus’s life, beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ending with the crucifixion. It depicts political and interpersonal struggles between Judas Iscariot and Jesus that are not present in the Bible. This production will embrace the idea of rock idolatry and grounding the world in a rock concert setting complete with back up dancers and an awesome rock band!

Full Ride

Haugen Theater – October 4-6, 7:30 p.m., October 6 & 7, 2:00 p.m., October 7, 6:00 p.m., 2018

Full Ride is a darkly comic look at how a contemporary American family is torn apart by the parents’ drive to win-at-all-costs. The play follows David and Jane through an action-packed weekend, and how their passionate quest to make their kids the best–in school, sports, everything— finally makes them their own worst enemies.
