Media Room Equipment Checkout Tutorial
The art department has over 300 pieces of media equipment available for checkout in the art department Media Room (CAD 101). Use the ”Art Department” Webcheckout page to browse and reserve equipment.
Eligibility: for access to media equipment, students must be currently enrolled in an art class. Since different classes require different equipment, available resources may change slightly from semester to semester. If you are not currently enrolled in an art class, you may still borrow a wide variety of equipment from Rolvaag Library.
Loan Duration: students may check out equipment for up to 3 weeks, plus one renewal of up to 7 days. Students with special permission from their instructor may check out equipment for longer periods. Students must manually input their loan duration on the Webcheckout calendar when creating their reservation.
Pickup/Return: equipment may only be picked up or returned while the Media Room is open and staffed.
Current Media Room hours are:
- Monday: 3:00PM-4:00PM
- Tuesday: 3:00PM-4:00PM
- Wednesday: 3:00PM-4:00PM
- Thursday: 3:00PM-4:00PM
- Friday: 3:00PM-4:00PM
Please note that the Webcheckout software will not allow you to select a pickup or drop off date outside of this window. If you have questions or need special accommodations, please email the art department technical supervisor: nienstae@stolaf.edu
In-Person Checkouts: students may also make in-person checkouts without an advance reservation by talking to the Media Room staff worker during regular open hours.
Other Policies: students are financially responsible for lost or damaged equipment. Late returns may result in loss of access to the Media Room.
