Tostrud Center and Skoglund Athletic Center is open ONLY for students and current faculty and staff.
Employees, please  submit a new online waiver before returning to the facility.

  • Wearing a mask is currently optional in the facility.  Visitors must be fully vaccinated.
  • You must wear a shirt that covers the torso if you are in the weight room or fitness room.  This is for sanitary reasons.

Given the current COVID-19 guidelines for our campus community, there is no timeline for opening up facilities to current employee family members, retirees, or alumni members.

Regular building hours through Saturday, May 21.
Sun., May 22     Noon – 9 p.m.
Tues., May 23    11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wed-Fri, May 24-27 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Sat-Mon, May 28-30  Closed
May 31-June 3  11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
June 4-5   Closed.
Summer hours begin Monday, June 6.

Pool will be open regular hours through May 17.   May 18-21 will be noon – 1:00 p.m. only.  Then closed.
Summer hours yet to be determined.

Climbing wall is open through reading day, May 18 and will then close.
STORP is closed.

(Please note that St. Olaf does not have reciprocating memberships at the Carleton Recreation Center.)  Batting cages are for St. Olaf athletic teams only.

Open skating hours:

Sundays 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Fridays 7:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.

Recreation office hours:

9:00 am-3:00 pm
Pass renewal hours are 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. only.  (No pass renewals at this time)

Monday–Thursday 6:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.(weight room 7 a.m.-10:0o p.m.)
Friday 6:30 a.m. – 8:45 p.m.(weight room 7 a.m.-8:00 p.m.)
Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 8:45 p.m.(weight room 9 a.m.-8:00 p.m.)
Sunday Noon – 10:30 p.m.(weight room Noon – 10:oo p.m.)

Pool Hours:

Lap Swim Mon/Wed/Fri 12:00 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Lap Swim Mon – Fri
Dive practice also on Tue/Thurs
6:o0 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Lap Swim Saturday, Sunday 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

To meet the COVID-19 guidelines that are mandated by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and out of an abundance of caution, we ask that you continue to clean and disinfect equipment after use wiping off excess liquid from the machines.

Respect and follow the safety procedures, guidelines and instructions from staff.

Wipe down equipment before and after each use with disinfectant & towel provided.

Wash hands often following CDC recommendations.
