Facility News

Tostrud Center and Skoglund Athletic Center is open for students and current faculty and staff.
Employees, please  submit a new online waiver before returning to the facility.

  • Wearing a mask is currently optional in the facility.  However, all campus visitors into the facility are required to wear a mask correctly.
  • You must wear a shirt that covers the torso if you are in the weight room or fitness room.  This is for sanitary reasons.

Given the current COVID-19 guidelines for our campus community, there is no timeline for opening up facilities to current employee family members, retirees, or alumni members.

FALL BREAK Building Hours:
Fri, 10/15          6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sat/Sun, 10/16-17   12:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Mon, 10/18     11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Tues, 10/19     11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Pool will close Friday at 2 p.m.   Mon/Tues., Noon-1:00 p.m. swim only.
Climbing Wall will be closed Friday – Tuesday.
STORP will be open Thurs, 4-6 p.m. but closed Fri. and Mon.

(Please note that St. Olaf does not have reciprocating memberships at the Carleton Recreation Center.)  Batting cages are for St. Olaf athletic teams only.

Open skating hours:

Fridays, Sept. 17 – Oct 22  from 7-8:15 pm.
Sundays, 3 – 6 p.m.

Recreation office hours:

9:00 am-3:00 pm
Pass renewal hours are 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. only.  (No pass renewals at this time)

Skoglund/Tostrud Building Hours for academic year

 

Monday–Thursday 6:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.(weight room 7 a.m.-10:oo p.m.)
Friday 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.(weight room 7 a.m.-8:15 p.m.)
Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.(weight room 9 a.m.-8:15 p.m.)
Sunday Noon – 10:00 p.m.(weight room Noon – 10:oo p.m.)


Pool Hours:

 

Lap Swim Mon – Fri 12:00 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Lap Swim Mon – Thurs
Dive practice also
6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (Friday until 8 pm)
Lap Swim Saturday, Sunday 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

TOSTRUD USER GUIDELINES during Covid-19:
To meet the COVID-19 guidelines that are mandated by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and out of an abundance of caution, we ask that you continue to clean and disinfect equipment after use wiping off excess liquid from the machines.

Respect and follow the safety procedures, guidelines and instructions from staff.

Wipe down equipment before and after each use with disinfectant & towel provided.

Face mask policy in Skoglund/Tostrud:

Wash hands often following CDC recommendations.
