Our program centers the concerns and experiences of people of color and proceeds from the recognition that race and ethnicity have been and continue to be crucial components within interlocking systems of oppression, as well as powerful sites of intersectional resistance.

Prospective majors may count sections of Writing 111 and Religion 121 as well as seminars designated specifically for first-years only. Please consult the annual list of approved electives available on RACE’s website.
