Adding and Dropping

Students may add and drop courses in the registration system in SIS until the first day of classes each term.

After the term has started, all adds will require written instructor approval and all drops will require instructor acknowledgement.  Email add/drop requests along with instructor approval/acknowledgement to registrar@stolaf.edu.

NOTE:   First-year students in their first semester must also provide written advisor approval for all adds/drops.


Internships: Contact the Piper Center to start internship paperwork through Handshake.

Repeating a Course: The link to request to repeat a course can be found by logging into SIS and clicking on Forms and Links.

Overload Request: The link to request an overload can be found by logging into SIS and clicking on Forms and Links.

Waitlist: Instructors maintain their own waitlists.  Contact the instructor or the Dept/Program about being added to a waitlist.
