I am currently living in New York. I study dance with many amazing artists and audition and audition. Recently I had the opportunity to teach modern dance as guest artists at Winona State University. I also choreographed a piece for their student dance company which will premiere at their concert in early February.

Andrea is currently a visiting assistant professor in the dance department at St. Olaf. She received her Ph.D. in Social-Cultural Anthropology from Indiana University in 2015, and her MA in Ethnochoreology from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick in Ireland in 2009. Prior to graduate school, Andrea had a performing career in traditional and modern folk forms dancing and choreographing in the U.S. and Hungary. Her current research focuses on embodied attention and sensory perception as cultural phenomena. (Update: October, 2016)

Currently, I am a full-time Bilingual (Spanish) Kindergarten teacher so we dance daily while learning the alphabet and numbers! Since graduation in 1996, I taught ballet and modern dance for Southold Dance Theater and Conservatory of Dance where i was also Associate Director. I did Freelance Choreography for companies including St. Marys College. I was also a company member of Southold Dance Theater performing in public schools as well as the surrounding community. In August 2000 I married and moved to Bloomington IN, graduated nursing school and currently work in Bloomington Hospital as an orthopedic nurse. I then worked for and educational outreach program in Philadelphia public schools and got hooked on education. I am currently the Director of Operations for a K-8 school, while doing consulting in the tri-state area. My consulting deals with climate and culture in urban education and is based in trauma informed and restorative practices (arts being a huge part of that). I continue to teach dance at Gwendolyn Bye Dance in Philadelphia (ages 3+)!!

After living, working, and dancing in Minneapolis for 8 years, I decided to go back to school. I finished my MFA in dance performance and choreography at the University of Colorado at Boulder in May 2006. A couple of weeks after graduation I performed a solo piece titled “Exposed Layers” at the National ACDF at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. I’m in my first year teaching dance at El Paso Community College (El Paso, Texas). I’m the first full-time tenure track dance instructor at this community college, so I’m building a program from the ground up.! (Update: April, 2007)

I currently am a professional grants consultant for a number of non-profit organizations, assisting them with crafting their grants strategy, writing proposals, and securing the funding they need to pursue their missions. Tamara is currently living in Prior Lake, Minnesota and working as the Co-Owner and Vice President of Chanhassen Dinner Theaters where she has been the resident choreographer since 2004, and has choreographed over 30 musicals. Caron Starobin

Caron (Cacciatore) Starobin is a clinical social worker and clinical supervisor at the Jewish Social Service Agency in Rockville, MD and has worked for JSSA for 15 years. She provides individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, and their families. Ms. Starobin has particular interest and expertise in treating children and adolescents on the autism spectrum and their families. She also has expertise in facilitating social skills groups for children in the Spectrum. In addition, Caron Starobin has a particular interest and passion for addressing the social context of emotional challenges and applying knowledge and understanding of family systems to repair relationships. Caron received her MSW at the University of Maryland in 2000 and participated in the Post Graduate program at the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family in Washington, D.C. In 2013-2014. Although there is no mention of dance here, Caron continues to move passionately through life and uses her knowledge and value of the body-mind connection in her work every day.
