Fractional Dance Course Credits
Fractional dance course credits are determined as a proportion of the thirty-eight instructional hours and out-of-class time. Dance Courses that carry (.25) credit and meet for a minimum 2 55-minute instructional hours per week are expected to devote 30 minutes outside of class time for every hour in class. Some courses carry additional lab or discussion sessions. Dance Courses that carry (.50) credit and meet for a minimum two 90-minute instructional hours per week are expected to devote 45 minutes outside of class time for every hour in class. Some courses carry additional lab or discussion sessions.
Transfer Credit
Students wishing to apply a transfer course toward a dance major should consult with the department chair.
