Matthew O. Anderson – Visiting Assistant Professor, German
For the midterm project in GERM 247: Germanic Fairy Tales, my Fall 2021 students developed a fairy tale adaptation in three stages. First, they used a variety of collaborative apps (Canva, Google Docs/Slides/Jamboard) to create a storyboard outline for their adaptation. Then, each group member prepared their own creative product (board game, card game, comic, written adaptation—some digital, some analog). Finally, groups reconvened to compare and discuss their individual creative products in a 10-12 minute podcast reflection (Audacity, Zoom, and/or iPhones).
