A Swivl is a robotic mount for an iPad or other smart device with a camera. A remote control marker tracks the wearer and, with the video capture abilities of the smart device, records video and audio of a moving person. The MSCS Department originally acquired one of these so we may record colloquium and seminar talks. After the pandemic began, some department members expanded use of the Swivl to include live classroom Zoom sessions and videos for a flipped classroom model.
