Course Reserve Information & Policies
Finding reserve items
You may search for reserve items in Catalyst using the Course Reserves scope. Books, DVDs, sound recordings, and other physical items on reserve may be checked out at the Circulation Desk (please note whether it is on reserve at Music or Rolvaag).
Loan periods for reserve items
Materials may be placed on 2 hour, 4 hour, or 1 day reserve. 2- and 4-hour reserve items checked out less than 2 hours before closing may be kept overnight (with the exception of sound recordings), but they must be returned the following day when the library opens.
Renewal of reserve items
Reserve items may not be renewed.
Late fees
Reserve materials are often in high demand, and are thus subject to a $2.00 per hour late fee, up to a maximum total fee of $15.
To ensure that materials are checked in promptly, return items directly into the hands of a Circulation worker.
