Community Members and Alumni Access Policy
St. Olaf College Libraries Guest Access
The St. Olaf College Libraries welcome visitors and guests to enjoy our rich collection of books, periodicals, journals, and digital materials. As a guest of the college and the libraries, you are expected to abide by campus and library policies. Guests may be asked to leave by library staff or college security as a result of conduct that is deemed disruptive or disrespectful. Abuse of college and/or library policies may result in suspension of some or all campus and library privileges.
Guest Hours
Guest hours are from the time the library opens in the morning until 10:00PM. When the library closes before 10:00PM, all library users will leave at closing.
Community Cards
Individuals who are not affiliated with either college but are residents of the townships listed below may apply for a Community Card at the circulation desk. This card gives the privilege of checking out materials from the library. Proof of permanent residence must be presented.

St. Olaf College Alumni
All college alumni who are Minnesota residents qualify for a library Community Card. Cards may be requested at the circulation desk. Alums must show proof of permanent residence and provide their year of graduation.
Computer Access
Guests may use the library computers to search for materials and to document the resources found. Guests should check with the Research Desk or Circulation Desk for the guest access code. Guests may be asked to relinquish a computer if student demand exceeds the number of available computers. Guests may also use their personal laptops to search for materials using the St. Olaf guest wireless access.
