Roommate Linking Begins June 5 through June 19
If you completed your Housing Agreement and Roommate Questionnaire and indicated that you were interested in Roommate Linking, you will be able to log into your housing portal to request a roommate.

Have questions about housing accommodations? Housing Accommodations are submitted to the Office of Disabilities and Access. Please follow the link below to read more about the Housing Accommodations process:
Residence Life partners with the Enduring Questions program to provide a Live-In Learning experience for students in the program. Enduring Questions Students will select Roommate Pairing. Residence Life will pair and place you in Ellingson Hall.

PROCESS AND TIMELINE INFORMATION
All new and transfer students are able to provide information on lifestyle preferences through the First Year & Transfer Student Housing Agreement & Roommate Questionnaire.
Starting April 15 through June 4, students should log into their housing portal through SIS. During this time period, students will indicate if they would like to participate in Roommate Pairing (Residence Life will pair you with another roommate) or if they want to participate in Roommate Linking (students can search for and match with other students) on their Housing Agreement & Roommate Questionnaire. You must complete your Housing Agreement & Roommate Questionnaire to participate in Roommate Linking.

- Students should select “Roommate Linking” or “Roommate Pairing” based on their preference.
Students currently outside of the United States will need to use a VPN to access their Housing Portal. All St. Olaf students can download a VPN using their login credentials. For more information, you can follow the link here to our IT Solutions webpage: VPN Connection.
Students selecting Roommate Linking will be given further instructions on how to search for roommates. Students may decide to change their decision on roommate linking. If you would like to change to Roommate Pairing or Roommate Linking, please click here. Roommate Pairing facilitated by Residence Life staff occurs concurrently in late June.
For all students, Roommate Pairing/Linking & Housing assignments will be announced in late June.

Ellingson Hall
Ellingson Hall is located on the Northeast side of campus near Mohn and Thorson Halls. Ellingson Hall is a four story building housing 185 first-year students. With centralized lounge spaces on every floor, Ellingson Hall offers an intellectual atmosphere for students to easily meet, study and hangout outside of their rooms.

Hoyme Hall
Hoyme Hall is a four-story hall housing 210 first-year students. The main lounge provides a striking view of the surrounding countryside as well as a wonderful space for studying and socializing. Students in the Great Conversation program live in Hoyme.

Kildahl Hall
Kildahl Hall offers a friendly, comfortable atmosphere for 168 students. The main lounge serves as the center of community, offering many activities and late night conversations around the fireplace. Kildahl is equipped with lofted beds, computer facilities, and a strong community that is ideal for studying and socializing.

Mohn Hall
One of the two towers on campus, Mohn is a ten-story residence hall housing 307 students. The hall offers a main lounge, a recreational room, and a piano room. The circular arrangement of each corridor creates a strong community atmosphere.
