The last day of J-Term is Tuesday, January 30. Students leaving for the Spring term are expected to checkout by 4 pm on Wednesday, January 31.
The Residence Halls will remain open for J-Term break. Students do not need to register to remain on campus or maintain card access.
Leaving Campus for J-Term Break
Winter Break Inspections will occur on Tuesday, January 30.
Students who are leaving campus for J-Term Break (January 30 through February 6), please follow the steps below before your departure:
- Clean up any messes or spills in your room
- Take out any trash to the dumpster before you leave
- Turn off any lights in the room
- Unplug any appliances except your microfridge unit or fish tanks
- If applicable: turn your thermostat down to low, but not off
- Close and lock your windows and blinds/shades
Students returning to campus for the Spring term do not need to checkout with a Residence Life staff member before their departure.
Studying Abroad
Spring Term
Students leaving to study abroad for both Interim and Spring terms will need to follow the Checkout instructions to move out of their Residence Hall space. Students must checkout of their Residence Hall space by 4 pm on Wednesday, January 31.
