Kari Ogrodowski has been appointed to serve as the college’s full-time Title IX case manager.
Ogrodowski, who has extensive experience in developing programs aimed at preventing and responding to sexual violence, will begin at St. Olaf September 19. She will assume intake responsibilities and case management of Title IX matters, ensuring consistent and caring communication with all parties and providing them with access to the support services they need.
For the past three years, Ogrodowski has worked as a collaboration specialist and program coordinator for the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA). In that role, she has provided training and technical assistance to multidisciplinary sexual assault response teams in order to promote a victim-centered response to sexual violence. She has also served as coordinator of MNCASA’s Statewide Medical Forensic Policy Program, which aims to improve survivor experiences with Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners.
Prior to her work with MNCASA, Ogrodowski worked in Washington, D.C., as a case manager and college campus liaison for the Network for Victim Recovery of DC and as the volunteer program assistant at the DC Rape Crisis Center. In addition to providing direct services to survivors, including accompanying them to medical exams and connecting them to resources for recovery, she worked with students and administrators to improve sexual assault education and programming on college campuses.
A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Ogrodowski is a graduate of Grinnell College. She also earned a master of arts degree in Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development with a program track in higher education from the University of Minnesota.
