COVID-19 Counseling Center Services Update

To St. Olaf College studentsFrom Counseling Center Director
Steve O’Neill

Welcome new students and welcome back returning students! We hope this email finds you happy, healthy and not too stressed! But if you are having a difficult time, now or down the road, the Counseling Center is here to support you.

To protect the health of students and staff, our office will only be providing mental health services via telehealth/Zoom.

  • Accessing Counseling Services:
If you are living on campus or in Minnesota: Since our counselors are licensed in Minnesota, students who are living on campus or in Minnesota can utilize our telehealth services. To schedule a counseling appointment, please email Alyssa at: counselingcenterboehouse@stolaf.edu or call 507-786-3062.
  • If you are living outside of Minnesota: Please contact the Counseling Center to set up a telehealth consultation appointment. We can discuss your concerns and, depending on your current location, determine if the Counseling Center can fully address your needs or whether it is best that we connect you with services in your local area. To schedule a telehealth consultation, please email Alyssa at: counselingcenterboehouse@stolaf.edu or call 507-786-3062
  • Let’s Talk: This program provides easy access to a 10-15 minute informal confidential consultation with a counselor from our office. Let’s Talk is available via telehealth Monday through Friday, from 1:30-2:30 PM. To schedule a same day Let’s Talk appointment, please email Alyssa at: counselingcenterboehouse@stolaf.edu or call 507-786-3062
  • Groups/Workshops: Please contact the Counseling Center or talk with your counselor about available groups and workshops.

Warm regards from the Counseling Center staff.
