Campus Visits Changes
To St. Olaf College faculty and staffFrom Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid Chris George
Over the past week, I have been in regular contact with Enoch Blazis and the Campus Reopening Team regarding admissions tours for admitted students during the “lay low” period.
Starting Monday, in-person campus tours will be completely outside. The campus tours will not enter Tomson Hall, Regents Hall, Buntrock Commons, Boe Chapel, and the Center for Art and Dance as previously planned.
As a reminder, campus tours are being offered with the following expectations and precautions:
Visitors must be pre-registered with the Admissions Office and will be required to complete a self-screening checklist before their arrival on campus.
Visitors and tour guides are required to wear a mask the entire time they are on campus, regardless of vaccination status.
Visitors and tour guides must maintain 6 feet of distance between one another. All tour guides are equipped with a voice amplification device to assist with physical distancing.
Campus tours are available to one admitted student and up to 2 guests — no more than 3 people total — per time slot.
The time on campus for admitted students and their guests will be limited to 75 minutes.
Tours will start and end at the Admissions Visitor Parking Lot, and visitors will be accompanied the entire time on campus.
Failure to adhere to our guidelines will result in the cancellation of the campus tour and the visitors will be asked to leave the campus.
Tours leave every 30 minutes from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to Noon on Saturdays until May 1.
I want to recognize the collective work and commitment of the entire St. Olaf community that makes this opportunity possible for our incoming class of Oles. Thank you!
