Media Equipment for Checkout
The Digital Scholarship Center at St. Olaf (DISCO), is a space for the creative application of technology in learning, teaching, and research. First opened in the Winter of 2016, DiSCO offers a variety of resources and assistance to students, including the following:
- Specialized Software: A dozen workstations and a computer lab equipped with media production and design software
- Staff Assistance: Instructional Technology staff and Digital Scholarship Interns on hand to assist with technology and consult on projects
- Video and Audio Recording: Reservable audio and video recording spaces
- 3D and Wide-Format Printing: 3D Printing (up to 5 cu. in.), Wide-Format Poster Printing and design services

The Manfrotto Tripod is a versatile tripod system that pairs a fluid video head with a compact and lightweight photo tripod.
This camcorder provides users with full manual control and auto modes for features such as exposure, focus, gain, shutter speed, and white balance. Since this is a camera targeted at an advanced audience, it comes with several professional features such as color bars, peaking, pre-record buffer, and reference tone.

Be a good citizen: The equipment is made available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Check-outs are short, with the intent that a rolling circulation will ensure availability for all students who need to access the equipment. Please check out only what you need, when you need it, and return it to the Library promptly. Please maintain the equipment as you would your own – don’t expose it to weather, leave it lying around, or turn it in broken.
