IJKR Open Access and Copyright Policy
The International Journal for Kierkegaard Research (IJKR) is an online, open access publication created by the Kierkegaard Library at Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. It is currently hosted by the Open Education Network (of which St. Olaf College is a member) on the Manifold platform. In accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative definition of “open access,” there are no article processing charges or submission fees; upon publication in the IJKR all content is freely and immediately available to users or their institutions without charge.
Articles are published under the terms of a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC-BY 4.0) which permits users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, reuse, or link to an article in any medium for any purpose, provided the original work is properly cited. Authors are asked to sign a publishing agreement prior to publication; for contributions where there are multiple copyright owners, one author or authorized representative can sign on behalf of co-authors.
By means of the publishing agreement, authors:
- affirm that articles represent their original, previously unpublished work,
- grant the publisher (the Kierkegaard Library) a license to publish their articles under the CC-BY 4.0 license and to identify itself as the original publisher,
- grant the right of readers and any other third party to freely use or reuse the articles as long as its original author and citation details are identified, and
- retain the unrestricted copyright and publishing rights of their articles.
