The 2026 Junior Research Fellowship program at the Kierkegaard Summer Institute runs from July 1 – July 31.
Applications materials are due by April 1, 2026.
Applications are submitted via Google Form (see below) and supporting materials are submitted by email. Send all application materials, including references, to KSI-Application@stolaf.edu by the above application deadline. Please list “Junior Research Fellowship” in the subject line for all email communications.
Application Process:
- Submit the Kierkegaard Summer Institute Junior Research Fellowship Application Form.
- Send a cover letter that: (a) specifies your current academic level (e.g., graduated sophomore, junior, or senior); (b) explains your motivation for participation in the program; and (c) makes a clear statement of your commitment to the Kierkegaard Summer Institute’s programming
- 2–3-page Research Proposal that outlines your planned research project and its intended research outcome (e.g., thesis paper, conference presentation, writing sample for graduate school)
- Send your Curriculum Vitae/Resume
- Request two academic references to be emailed directly from your recommenders to KSI-Application@stolaf.edu.
