TYPES OF VISAS
The Hong Kierkegaard Library is committed to hosting and promoting international scholarship. Visiting scholars wishing to study at the Hong Kierkegaard Library must apply for a visa that allows legal residence and travel within the U.S.A. Depending on the duration, purpose, country of origin, and extent of visit, the type of visa needed may differ. The Hong Kierkegaard Library does not offer visa expertise but does provide a “Letter of Invite” after acceptance into the program.
The following links provide information about the two types of visas that are most commonly used by international visiting scholars for their time at the Kierkegaard Library. Each visa has its own set of requirements; therefore, interested scholars must check out options before deciding which type of visa is most appropriate. Please contact visa officials within your home country for specific questions and direction.
