The TEAM-UP project at St. Olaf represents our local implementation of nationwide efforts to transform physics communities.
Our project has three components:
1) Fostering students’ sense of belonging
2) Developing students’ identity as physicists
3) Strengthening the connections between students, faculty, and staff
Since the fall of 2020, TEAM-UP association has organized various events to work toward these targets, including group discussions on micro-aggression, “phun” challenges and games, and virtual alumni meetings.
We aim to create sustainable and long-lasting change in the physics department that will support students of all identity groups.
