St. Olaf has a fleet of vehicles that student organizations are able to reserve for trips, volunteering opportunities, and general organization business.
Students may also use alternative taxi, bus, and train transportation options. Please note that these services are not contracted through St. Olaf.
This alias provides a space for St. Olaf students who need rides to request rides or carpool opportunities, and for those students with vehicles to offer transportation using personal vehicles. Drivers may charge a reasonable fee for gas and time. Financial arrangements are made between the riders and drivers exclusively and not moderated by St. Olaf College.
The alias is to be used for transportation communication only. St. Olaf students may opt in to ineedaride. Each subscriber must abide by the ineedaride Terms of Use. “Reply-all” messages will not be allowed on ineedaride.

HOURCAR allows students to use a car to run errands, grab groceries, or leave campus for a long weekend. An electric vehicle will be available for rent through HOURCAR on campus later this semester.
The HOURCAR app is a $72 annual subscription that allows you to rent a vehicle for $9.60 per hour. Your subscription includes gas, secondary insurance, and up to 200 miles per day.
