
Whether you are trying to get to the Twin Cities for shopping and dining or traveling to the MSP Airport for a break or a trip, Minneapolis and St. Paul are accessible to St. Olaf students through a few forms of transportation. Northfield Lines works with St. Olaf to provide shuttles to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport for all official college breaks. One-way shuttle tickets are $40 (includes one suitcase and one carry-on) and must be purchased in advance through Northfield Lines. To view the shuttle schedule and to purchase tickets for future breaks, please visit the Northfield Lines website.
- Times listed on the schedule are departure times. Travelers should be at the pick-up location at least five minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- If a traveler misses a bus and there is a shuttle scheduled for later that same day, the traveler can use their original ticket on the next shuttle.
- If a traveler misses a bus and there is not a shuttle scheduled for later that same day, the traveler will need to find alternative transportation to their destination.
- Travelers that miss a bus due to airline and weather delays and if there are no later shuttles that same day are able to request a refund for the unused ticket by contacting Northfield Lines.
- Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be sold to another traveler.

Northfield Lines operates a daily service from Buntrock Commons to the Mall of America and MSP International Airport with an added stop at the University of Minnesota on Friday – Sunday.
- From these stops, there are opportunities to navigate throughout the Twin Cities via MetroTransit.
Tickets for Monday – Thursday are $40 each way, and tickets for Friday – Sunday are $17.50 each way. Roundtrip Friday – Sunday tickets are now available for $35.
- Tickets must be purchased in advance. For the weekend service at the lower price, St. Olaf students must enter the code STO27923 for the lower rate.
- Monday – Thursday service is subject to cancellation within 24 hours if there is not sufficient ridership.

How can I travel between terminals?
There is a free Light Rail tram that travels between the terminals at MSP. Please note: traveling between terminals may add an additional 30 minutes to your travel time. More information about the Light Rail Tram is available online.
Where do I get on the bus at the MSP airport?
You will get on the bus at the MSP Transit Center. Go downstairs to Baggage Claim, then on to Ground Transportation; follow the signs for Charter Buses (not shuttle buses!). Look for a Northfield Lines bus – it could be a coach bus or smaller – be sure to look at the vehicles. If in doubt, ask the drivers!
