STEP 1
Determine a proposed date and location for your local alumni event. If you know any local Oles, get them in on the planning too!
STEP 2
Submit your event proposal a minimum of 6 weeks in advance via the Alumni Event Request form. The details you will want to have, include:
- Contact information for event host
- Date and time of event
- Location of event
- A brief description of the event so that a St. Olaf team member can build your invitation
- Maximum number of attendees (if any)
- Registration Fee (if any) and what is included
- RSVP deadline (if RSVP is requiredโif it is not required, we will continue to take RSVPs through the event date)
- Additional Information youโd like collected during registration
- Additional event support needed in addition to emails (roster, nametags, etc.)
STEP 3
Staff will review your request and follow up with the event host with any questions. Once approved, staff will work with the event host to set up a registration page, marketing plan and funding support (if necessary).
STEP 4
As the event host, respond to any questions sent to you by Oles regarding the event.
STEP 5
At the event, welcome Oles to your event and keep track of who attends!
The Alumni Office can supply you with supplies in advance of your event (ie. welcome sign, nametags, roster/sign-in sheet, etc.)
STEP 6
Within a week after the event, email the Alumni Office to let them know who attended and share your photos!
Thatโs it! Thank you for planning a great event for your local Oles!
