St. Olaf has established the following aspirations (intended outcomes) for its DEI work:
Diversity: The diversity of St. Olaf students, faculty, and staff will reflect the diversity of the population of prospective students we seek to serve.
Equity: Students, faculty, and staff of all identities will thrive through high-quality experiences and excellent outcomes.
Inclusion: Students, faculty, and staff of all identities will express a strong sense of belonging, connection, and agency in relation to the college.
Below are links to the data the college is using to track its progress on each of these aspirations, with information about many different aspects of living, learning, and working on the Hill. The data show that St. Olaf is making progress in becoming more a more diverse and equitable community, but has more work to do in fostering a campus-wide sense of inclusion. These patterns inspired the Co-Creating an Inclusive Community initiative, an effort to engage the whole St. Olaf community in working together to become a place where everyone belongs and everyone thrives.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Dashboards
The interactive dashboards linked below provide key indicators for our diversity, equity, and inclusion aspirations. The diversity dashboard includes data for faculty and staff as well as students. The equity and inclusion dashboards focus primarily on students, but we continue to include information about faculty and staff as new data become available.
Additional Data
The links below provide additional information about the College’s progress in becoming a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive community. Some indicators point to aspects of our community that have changed for the better, while others point to areas where we need to improve. We are continuing to develop and add to this information as more data become available.
