Drop in for a hands-on event for math artists of all ages. All materials provided, just bring your creativity! Hosted by Minnesota artist Sarah Stengle.
Sarah Stengle is a book artist and sculptor who has been doing mathematical art for over 20 years. Represented by Central Booking Gallery in New York City, she exhibits nationally and internationally. She enjoys teaching workshops in book arts and mathematical art. Her studio is in St. Paul, MN, where she recently completed a community-based project called “The Mile Long Book,” assisted by participants of all ages. One of her current projects is “Postcards from Perga,” in which every known figure from Apollonius of Perga’s book on conics is drawn onto a vintage photographic postcard.
