In order to add and edit course content, it is necessary to understand the editing icons used in Moodle. They are designed to be fairly intuitive, so the following guide is here in case you need a quick reference.
Typical Grouping of Editing Icons
When editing is turned on, you will see the word Edit on the right of resource and activity. Select the gray triangle next to Edit to reveal a drop down menu. The drop down menu has icons that allow you to edit settings, move right/left, hide, duplicate, assign roles, and delete the resource or section.
In addition, most blocks and resources have an icon that allows for changing its place on the main page or for editing just the title of the resource. For a complete rundown of the Moodle editing icons, see below.
