What are clickers?

Clickers are small handheld devices that promote active learning in the classroom by allowing students to respond to interactive test, quizzes, surveys, review questions, and more. Once the students have responded, their answers are displayed on the screen as a bar graph.

How are clickers used at St. Olaf?

Faculty and students at St. Olaf use the Turning Technologies software and clickers. Several classrooms have the software installed on the classroom computer and a set of clickers in the podium drawer.  In addition, IT has sets of clickers to lend to professors, and the software can be downloaded for free from the Prime server or from the Turning Technologies website.
