The Efficiencies of Operation strategic planning group wants to know about your work and where you may be experiencing inefficiencies or “organizational drag.” Inefficiencies can be such things as repetitive manual tasks, workflow bottlenecks, or extraneous e-mail communication and meetings.
YOU are the best source of this type of information, therefore we need your help!
Think about the tasks you do on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis. Or consider tasks/processes that you work with other departments, or that affect your group (directly or indirectly):
- What manual processes do you feel could be automated?
- What things are overly complicated and could be simplified?
- What processes produce the most errors, roadblocks or challenges?
- Do you struggle with trying to find information, whether it be data or documents?
- Do you routinely find yourself asking the same questions to staff/student staff?
- What could be improved in order to save both time and money?
