International Journal of Kierkegaard Research
The International Journal of Kierkegaard Research invites submissions of original works on any topic relating to Kierkegaard. We are open to a broad range of approaches, disciplines, and traditions, and we support efforts to build bridges between different schools of thought. As an international journal committed to fostering dialogue in Kierkegaard research around the globe, we welcome submissions from authors working in any country. We are committed both to promoting rigorous scholarship and to bringing in new voices and perspectives on Kierkegaard.
Each issue includes peer-reviewed articles, as well as book reviews. We also sometimes highlight an invited contribution, a conference keynote, a translation into English of previously published foreign-language work, or an excellent student article (by undergraduate and master’s degree students).
Peer Review Process
The International Journal of Kierkegaard Research uses a double-blind, academically rigorous peer review process. Articles of original research are anonymized and reviewed by two academic referees.
Application Process
The submission deadline to be considered for publication in the Fall 2026 issue is May 1, 2026. Articles (between 6,000–10,000 words) should be prepared according to our journal style, formatted for blind review, and sent to: ijkr@stolaf.edu.
