It is always good to have a collection of care items handy in your residence hall room. Here are a few items to consider packing:

• • Over-the-counter pain relievers (Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen)
  • Allergy medication
  • Hydrocortisone cream
  • Antibiotic Ointment
  • Cold & Allergy Medicine
  • Cough Drops/Lozenges
  • Antacids
  • Alcohol-Based Sterile Wipes
  • Tweezers
  • Bandages
  • Gauze bandage wrap
  • Anything else that may be standard first aid at home

While COVID-19 conditions are improving, there are still important items to have handy:

• At-home COVID tests
• Reusable face masks
• Thermometer
• Hand sanitizer

We experience all four seasons in Minnesota. Make sure you are prepared for:

WINTER

• A good, sturdy coat
• Warm hats, mittens/gloves, scarves
• Insulated boots/shoes
• Wool/warm socks

FALL/SPRING

• Light jackets/coats to layer
• Umbrella and rain coat
• Water-resistant boots/shoes

SUMMER

• Breathable clothing
• Hat and sunglasses
• Sturdy sandals

It is important to take care of yourself. Here’s what we recommend:

• Weighted blanket
• Meditation app
• Eye mask
• Ear plugs
• White noise machine/app
• Calming essential oils/teas
• Small, low-maintenance plant

Getting to, from, and around campus safely is important. If you plan to bike or drive, consider having the following:

Bringing a bicycle?

• Register your bike online!
• Helmet
• Sturdy bicycle lock (U-Lock is a great option)
• Reflective stickers/mirrors

Been approved to have a vehicle on campus?

• Small first aid kit
• Car care supplies (oil, wiper fluid, antifreeze)
• Blanket or extra jacket, mittens, hat
• Small shovel
• Jumper cables
• Flashlight
• Portable phone charger
