International Student Health Insurance
It is St. Olaf policy that ALL students maintain adequate health insurance. This requirement is in place for the protection of the students.
The international student insurance policy is offered through LewerMark. Please visit LewerMark’s designated St. Olaf website for details. The premium (which includes a grant to offset the cost of the premium) for the 2023-2024 academic year is $1,000 and will be billed in two installments – one amount in the fall, and one in the spring.

2023-2024 Enrollment Information
International students will be automatically enrolled in LewerMark’s plan. There will not be an option to waive.
Once enrolled, you will be able to access your insurance ID card by logging in to your LewerMark account using your St. Olaf student ID number. If you are unable to access your insurance ID card, please contact lewermarksupport@lewer.com. Coverage begins August 15, 2023 and ends August 14, 2024.
Coverage for graduating seniors expires on May 26, 2024, the day of graduation. For extended coverage benefits, please contact LewerMark prior to graduation at lewermarksupport@lewer.com.

Health Insurance Coverage for the 2022-2023 academic year continues through August 14, 2023. Please visit the Lewermark website for plan information. Open enrollment for the 2022-2023 academic year has closed. Only those with qualifying events will be allowed to enroll at this time.

In response, the Understanding Health Care page was made by St. Olaf students in order to provide students with the tools and support to help them tools to navigate health care with more confidence. By guiding our research based on student data along with staff and student interviews, this webpage covers a wide array of health care issues that students identify struggling with.
