These resources highlight the people, policies, and procedures at St. Olaf that are dedicated to preventing sexual misconduct and harassment, stopping it if it occurs, and providing assistance and support to those who are affected by it.
Reporting and Support Process Flowchart
A description of what happens when any member of the Title IX team receives a report of any form of prohibited behavior – sexual or interpersonal violence, other forms of sexual misconduct, or sexual harassment. People who have experienced these behaviors are welcome to limit their request for assistance to the support services described on this flowchart; they are not required to initiate any next steps. If they do request an Informal Resolution Process or a formal investigation under our Grievance Process, the flowcharts below apply.
The Grievance Process
Informal Resolution Process Flowchart
A description of the steps involved in the Informal Resolution Process, which is an option available to students after reporting an incident of sexual or interpersonal violence. The Informal Resolution Process is not an investigation, but it is a voluntary process that can result in mutually agreeable outcomes for parties and the College.
Investigation & Hearing Process Flowchart
A description of the steps involved in an investigation of reported prohibited behavior. The investigation process includes a Hearing Panel’s finding indicating whether there was sufficient evidence to establish that a person engaged in prohibited behavior and is therefore responsible for violating college policy.
Title IX Quick Guide
A copy of this Quick Guide is distributed in the residence halls to all new and returning students at the beginning of the academic year, with information about how to prevent sexual violence and other forms of misconduct; how to report to the college; where to find resources for education, assistance and support; and how to contact the Title IX Coordinator and other members of the Title IX team.
