欢迎光临 ! With courses from beginner to advanced (4th year) courses, the Chinese Language program allows students to fulfill their foreign language requirement, major in Chinese or Asian Studies, or complete a concentration in Chinese Studies (available through class of 2020). In addition to the Chinese and Asian Studies department courses, there are also a variety of China-related courses in art history, history, philosophy, political science, psychology, and religion. Another option is to join the Asian Conversations Program that consists of Asian studies while studying Chinese and an Interim in China. Additionally, students can study abroad at East China Normal University in Shanghai for a semester or a full year. After graduation, a number of our graduates have gone on to receive Fulbright scholarships, been accepted for St Olaf’s China Fellows Program to teach in Shanghai, and continued their studies of China in various graduate programs.
