Students who will be living or working on campus will need to obtain a summer parking permit using the following process:
- Apply for a parking permit online here
- Pay for your permit online here
- You will receive an email when your permit has been approved, paid for and is ready to be picked up
- Permits may be picked up in the Business Office, Tomson 134, Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with your student ID
There is a $35.00 charge for summer student permits. Students may apply for summer permits after May 1st. The St. Olaf College Parking Policy remains in effect all year, including summer months. Vehicles without a current permit will be cited.
There are two types of student permits during the summer, one for those students living on campus and another for those commuting to campus to work or attend classes. On-campus residents must park in the Skoglund Lot and those commuting to campus for classes or work must park in commuter spaces by Lot H (near Generator Shed), the west row of Lot B (Rand Lot between commuter parking signs only) and Lot C (by Mohn Hall).
In light of conferences and events held throughout the summer, students must park in their assigned lots and not occupy faculty, staff, or visitor spaces. No overnight parking will be permitted in Lot I or Lot J during the summer as these spaces are reserved for conferences and events.
