This set is from the week of May 23, 2016. Interior demolition is largely complete, and work has started on a new first floor, East side, entryway. A great deal of the firring of perimeter walls is underway, as is the foam insulation.

This short video is from the week of May 2, 2016 and shows the start of opening up the floors from 2nd up through 5th in order to create the new stairway. The next file down will show some photos of the openings.
On May 10, 2016 we saw the stairway penetrations largely complete.

On March 28, 2016 we found a great deal of demolition work complete on 3rd floor, the main campus grade. We can start to imagine the Holland Commons space coming together, flooded with daylight.

This set was taken on March 11, 2016 and shows work on 4th floor, along with some views of the asbestos containment for 5th floor, taken from 6th.

This is from the week of February 29, 2016. It is a collection of images from 5th and 6th floors. Holland Hall has fabulous “bones”, demolition could thought of almost like dissecting some critter in your 1st year vertebrate biology class, without the smells. It is pretty interesting that Holland’s first program was the natural sciences, along with administration.
