Program Overview
This semester-long program is coordinated through the Piper Center’s recently-launched Ole Career Launcher. As a participant in this program, you must be enrolled in Performance Nutrition (KINES 250) or Principles of Strength & Fitness Training (KINES 231) which is offered annually in the spring semester. This program will prepare students to take either the Precision Nutrition (PN) Certification or the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®) Certification.
Students will have the opportunity to learn from professionals in the nutrition and strength & fitness industries to: better understand the role each component plays in physical performance; learn best practices in community based approaches; hear about the different professional opportunities that exist in the industry.
In addition, students will meet once a month for a workshop led by industry experts – including accomplished alumni – who will also host office hours to allow for time to check in on your progress, answer questions, and provide 1:1 industry coaching.
Given the cost associated with this program, students must commit to an average of 10 hours per week during the spring semester.
Application Deadline: Friday, December 1 at 11:55pm
