Choosing a major is not equal to choosing a career.
It is commonly thought that “you can’t do anything with” some majors such as history, psychology, English, etc. This is a myth, especially at a liberal arts college, where students are well-educated in a breadth of subjects beyond their major, so they are prepared to function in many areas in the work world. In fact, a professor at Williams College has researched the link between majors and careers among 15,600 alumni.
