An Uncommon Legacy Foundation, Inc. –Lesbian Leadership Scholarships and Legacy Grants
This scholarship provides support for individual projects and undergraduate/graduate school. All academic applicants must: plan to become a full-time student at an accredited college or university in the United States, have a minimum 3.0 grade point average, demonstrate a commitment or contribution to the lesbian community; demonstrate financial need; and follow Legacy’s Lesbian Leadership Scholarship guidelines. Consideration will include: academic performance/honors, personal/financial hardship and, especially, service to the LGBT community. The scholarship funds are paid directly to the educational facility for tuition and not to the individual for other expenses. The Point Foundation National LGBT Scholarship Fund
Grants scholarships to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students of distinction. The mission of The Point Foundation is to provide financial support, mentoring and hope to meritorious students who are marginalized because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The foundation offers these awards as an investment in a better world for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. In the previous year, $125,000 in scholarships were awarded to eight scholars–six of whom are continuing their educations, and two of whom have graduated with highest honors.

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force – the Vaid Fellowship*
The Vaid Fellowship supports and recognizes the leadership of people of color and other emerging leaders in the progressive movement for LGBT equality. Vaid Fellows are given a great deal of responsibility. One Vaid Fellow will be selected for Winter 2004, to join two current Fellows. The three Vaid Fellows selected for Summer 2004 will focus on legal and policy research and social science and legal research fields.

Awards a $5,000 scholarship to rising undergraduate sophomore students enrolled in a U.S. based college or university studying in the STEM fields and identify with the LGBT community. Students must demonstrate strong academic standing with a GPA 3.0 or better and must not be under any disciplinary sanction. Active allies of the LGBT community are also eligible and encouraged to apply.
Provides an award up to $10,000 to undergraduate students planning to study abroad for a minimum of 4 weeks and demonstrates a financial need. The college abroad program should include the opportunity to study the country’s native language and include a sustainable service-learning or volunteering component. Upon returning from abroad, students must be committed to supporting education studies abroad with FEA staff. STEM students and underrepresented students are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.
Arch and Bruce Brown Foundation Grants
Grants scholarship to Playwrights with a focus on Gay-Positive Arts project based on or inspired by history and will submit a full-length play, screenplay, musical, and opera. Also offer grants to production companies to offset expense in producing LGBT themed theatrical. Only one entry per author and the script must be an original and in English.
Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Social Justice
Offers various scholarship supports for lesbians, trans, and LGBTQI groups that promote racial, economic, gender justice, and communities that challenge oppression and claim rights. The foundation provides a generous grant, ranging from $3,000-$30,000 per year, to allow organizations the flexibility and support to bring social change.
Grants LGBTQ students of the age 20 and younger who have transformed their experiences of discrimination and injustice into opportunities that inspire people to take action to change the system and institutions that impact their lives. Students must be nominated and upon being awarded with the grant, the individual will also attend an honorary celebration in Los Angeles and an all-expense paid for trip to attend the National Conference on LGBT Equality: Creating Change.

Provides a description of available scholarships for LGBT students. Provides both general scholarships and also institution-related grants.
Grants students from Michigan with a scholarship and the opportunity to encourage continued academic and career progress. The scholarship supports LGBT students, their journey to accept and appreciate their self-identity, and to recognize their struggle for equality, dignity, and growth opportunities.

Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays
Supports both U.S citizen and non U.S citizen leaders who identifies with the LGBTQA community. Graduating seniors who are entering an accredited institution for the first time are eligible for an award up to $5,000.
Offers over 50 different scholarships to students that are residents from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington. Must identify as a LGBTQ member or be a straight ally who has shown a commitment to equality and civil rights for all people. Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution. High school seniors who will be enrolling into a post-secondary program are also eligible.
Provides up to $1,000 to individuals that want to take part in the movement to build a stable future for the LGBTQA community through their studies and effective writing. Student must be attending a U.S college or University of their choice to study queer theory or related fields. After essay submission individuals will be invited to an interview and their references will be checked
